Three Deaths – the first death in this city in which lagrippe is supposed to have been a cause occurred yesterday afternoon when William Beck, son of Jessie R. Beck, who lives just north of the corporate limits, died from a complication of afflictions, following upon la gripped. The disease developed into pleurisy and ultimately into congestion of the brain. Deceased had been employed in Barnaby’s saw mill; he was 21 years of age. Mr. Beck had been living in this city about 10 years.

Mrs. Emma Scobee, wife of Edward Scobee, died yesterday at the family home near Bainbridge, aged about 38 years.

Lora, the two-year-old daughter of Elza and Emma Bond, died on Monday in Washington Township of diphtheria.
